Strange but truth! It has become a trend or daily news to hear that, he had left the church, a leader has been asked to leave, a fulltime evangelist have left the church and so on…a question was making round in my heart in these days that, why does a man exactly leave a church? Since church is God’s home not a public ltd company. Why does it happen that a man who gives his first priority to Jesus in the beginning and shows great faith suddenly gives away? Judgment is one of the reasons for it (”do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Mathew 7: 1-2),
certain time when we come across people who are in sin, we neglect it or take it easy on that time, but later we start looking down or judging them rather than helping them. Instead of grace we give judgment. Leadership makes a difference! Leadership has to be in strong faith to overcome this problem.
It is very easy to sit in A.C room, and say, it is your conviction whether to come or not to the church. But the right one is to go with the person share his problem and help him to come out of it. It is very sad to see that our former ICOC have lost their visions. I met some disciples and some leaders from ICOC, who are my good friends, who once had fire in their hearts, to do something for Christ, have lost even their faith. Sadly, they have lost their visions. Where there is no vision people will perish.
Now, what has gone wrong? Again the leadership comes in to the picture. In a battlefield, a commander motivates the soldiers to fight and win. Sadly, in our former fellowship soldiers are standing without vision, and commanders are fighting for posts! I pray that Satan don’t prey on them. Leaders need to think that, due to this problem, if a disciple leaves the church, whose head is his blood going to be? Let’s come to a conclusion, if God forgives a man, (”But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.” Nehemiah 9:17) who are we to look down, or keep accountability of one’s mistakes. There are too many things to do for God. So forget about everything open your eyes and see a vision of heavenly citizenship! Our salvation is in our own hands.
We are very happy that in midst of all these things God has kept us faithful. We had a wonderful week. This Sunday God sent a disciple all the way from Kuwait to encourage us! And Christmas celebration on 24th December was marvelous with 45 attendants!! Great spiritual dance, amazing skits, and a beautiful message from the bible, we celebrated Christmas with explosion of happiness, sparks of joy. And brightness all around. Simultaneously our sister church (Bangalore Christian Church) are also growing! With capable people like Johnny and Annie, we have faith that Bangalore going to be evangelized in this generation!! They had an attendance of 29 people this Sunday!! All the believers of Christ just believe and have big visions for Christ, and not loose your way for petty things as our God is very big!! Have the vision to evangelize this generation in this generation itself, as Jesus is coming soon!!
And to God be the glory!
