Bro.Navin Anbalagan preached on sunday service
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.(Acts 2:42-47)
That was an awesome moment that is accruing here in this scripture. We see here the disciples who were really active. Not bothering about family, job, relatives, wife, friends but totally active and giving their best for God!! Stephan was stoned, Paul was beheaded, and Peter was crucified upside down! Just imagine they would have been selfish; would we be here, where we are today. Today in many churches we can feel the lukewarm ness and divisions: my member-your members. We being disciples of Jesus often forget that we all are one. Unfortunately, we just remember whether he or she belong to my church and forget about his or her Spiritual life.
I remember an incident that happened in our church. There was a brother who was a fallen away in a particular church. Being a very good friend of mine I noticed him that he has gone back to his old sin. To see a person like him who was a family group leader, once again going back to his old sins I felt pity. We went and started following up. {I know his old church members and leaders and the evangelists had not bothered about him and dis-fellowshiped him, because he is not going to that church) God touched him!! He found his lost faith and he started repenting and coming to our church. But unfortunately from his former fellowship one of the evangelist (who was staying far away from the city) who did not bothered while he was in sin started visiting him and challenged him about going to other church (not challenged about his sin) asked him to join back. Due to pressure, today he had stopped going to any of the church. I was really disappointed to see him going back to his sins. When I enquired him “why”. This was his statement: “there is too much pressure so I don’t want to be on either church” I would be really appreciated him if he would have gone back to his old fellowship. Unfortunately he is not going there. Whoever have done this may be a disciple, a evangelist, think who is responsible for this lost soul?
This is what the scripture teaches us “Go and make disciples” (Mathew 28:18-20)Are we making disciples to just be called as a member of our church (crowd)? Or to bring his life to light through Jesus. We as a sold ” out disciples movement should think about getting people in to Jesus not to an other church!! When I look Kip and Elena, who even at this age is doing an awesome job, makes me feel privileged that I’m too is a part of this movement. With this joy what I am saying is, today you might be a part of a church, but may still not with Jesus. May be not happy about your own spiritual life, may be not happy about your leaders (who became cold and lukewarm),whatever may be your problem;stop existing as a lukewarm disciple.start living as a fired-up disciples.take up the spritiuality and responsibility of jesus in your own hand!!
If you need our discipline even if you are a single person, or a group or a congregation we will support you for Jesus!! Come and join us, as a sold-out discipling movement lets reach out all the streets and every corners of India to host His flags!! Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder we will walk together and change this generation for Jesus Christ.
And to God be the glory.
